My friend, MefusSquirrel, comes here for nuts regularly. Recently, she made a drey in the honeylocust tree in our condo yard, so that she won’t miss out on nuts. 😂🥰😘🐿️💕

An Eastern Grey Squirrel with strawberry blond tail in the big lemonTree pot right outside of the kitchen door. She’s behind the main trunk of the lemonTree, glancing at me. She knows where I hide the nuts for her (so that the family of Thurston bluejay won’t take them—don’t worry, they get their share of nuts). Mefus means strawberry in Welsh, by the way. Oh, and it’s pronounced “mévis.”
