We had a nice evening at my community garden plot. I love It there despite the mosquitos. I wear long pants and long sleeves and sweat. lol 💚🌱🌿✨😅🐰😋

My community garden plot: in the front bed; jalapeño peppers, lettuce, yellow banana pepper, okras. The okras have been nibbled by the cottontails every week. In the middle bed; pole beans, cucumbers, munchkin pumpkins (sweet gords!). You can sort of see the third bed, where I planted some tomatoes.
By the fence, borages are flowering, they grew from the spilled seeds of the previous season. In the middle of my plot, the raised herb bed; chives, marjorams, tomatoes, and turnips! They turned up! From seeds. (So very happy about this. I love turnips.) You can see the rotating composter bin. It works okay.
In this bed, I’ve planted kales that used to be on the indoor shelf garden under the grow light, but most of them got nibbled by the cottontails. lol it’s ok! Today I planted some sweet peppers and green leaf lettuces. We’ll see what will survive.
Here, I planted summer squash and transplanted some turnips in between. The cottontails don’t bother these.

Btw, mosquito bites are instantly soothed when I apply some fresh comfrey juice. I have a bush growing in the corner of my plot. It has healing substances, like aloe. I love it.

Bees love it, too. 🌿💕🐝✨

And here’s the first turnip of the season! It’s beautiful and miraculous.🤍💜💚✨
I love turnips!!!

I’m holding a harvested purple-top turnip against the white door, upside down, to show off its compact veg and long green leaves (about 50cm/2ft). It’s amazing to me that a tiny seed grew to be this beautiful edible thing!
