I was trimming the comfrey at my community garden plot this morning, and realized one of the cut parts had a metamorphosing ladybug! So I took some home to let the bug morph.
So far, it’s the year of the ladybug for me. My plants need them for sure!
Here’s my community garden plot. We added some organic soil to the beds, so hopefully it’ll be productive. I picked a head of red Romane lettuce and a yellow banana chili pepper today!
Yesterday, I noticed the empty shell (skin?) of the ladybug on underside of the comfrey leaf. It rained all day, and I couldn’t find the bug.
I spotted the bug by the kitchen door this afternoon! The bug joyfully flew upward from my hand as soon as I stepped outside.
