This year, the ladybugs are winning the battle. *yay* I don’t see aphids!!!

I literally squee’d to find this 14 spotted ladyBeetle on the milkweed in my flowerbed yesterday.

A tiny ladybug on one of the florets of the common milkweed flower. It’s a closeup to the flower, but the bug is only about 5mm big, and still looks like a sawing pin head. The beetle is black and creamy yellow (almost white). The milkweed florets are soft pink and cream. The background is the bright green leaves of milkweeds.
The ladybug moved to the stem-end of a milkweed leaf. She’s upside down and her butt is seen. I zoomed in a bit more to get the details, but the bug buried her head under a baby leaf. You can see the veins of the leaves very clearly.

@otterX Years ago I bought 50 of them because my mini willow tree was covered in greenfly. Thought they’d just fly off. Within days all the green flies had gone! I need more for my coriander. 👍🏼
