I'm trying to find the name of an Italian Christmas Cookie that my nonna made growing up - my dad lost the recipe and can't remember the name..
It's a chocolate cookie, soft inside, covered in a powdered sugar glaze. My dad remembers it having:
-Cocoa powder
-Cloves
-Orange zest
-Coffe
He's from the #Bari area.
in an underwhelming update I finally got in touch with my aunt who is the oldest and in high school when they moved to America. She told me the name was....
"Italian chocolate cookies" 
I think it's a mix of the suggestions on this thread. I guess I'll make my own version this year!
