Pointless thought experiment: what if the US had three major parties? What would the name, color and mascot for that third party be? Colors are tricky, as many have negative connotations - and if there were many third parties, they might need to go to pairs of colors, patterns or flags. For a mascot, a large animal would probably be preferred, to not look weak next to the elephant and donkey. Definitely something found in the US. Preferably something distinctly American.

Color: green would be best, but if we leave that to the Green Party, then teal would be the second choice
Mascot: bison, the largest animal in North America. And it's providing some environmental sustainability benefits
RIGHT:

Color: orange, gold, or white
Mascot: wolf
CENTRIST:
Name: Unity, Compromise, Milquetoast
Color: purple or gray
Mascot: puppy
