Saw this in the "Care" instructions for some clothing (a parka), after all the precautions about washing, it talks about drying:
> Tumble dry low. Do not hang to dry. Do not iron or steam. Do not dry clean.
> For best results, dry with clean tennis ball.
Is this an easter egg or other joke? What on earth does "dry with a tennis ball" do?
@cazabon Is it a puffy coat? The tennis ball can help prevent the jacket stuffing from clumping or bunching up as it dries.
It's a parka, though not a down one, just synthetic fibre fill. But that must be it. Thanks! It just sounded so bizarre...
@cazabon I did have to look it up to verify that my idea wasn't crazy Even the synthetic stuff can bunch up after a spin cycle or two.
