Actually, we're kind of spoiled for choice of loony candidates in this year's municipal election. Among others, we have a fellow running who (along with various other colourful incidents in his past) served a prison term after pleading guilty to threatening two teenage girls with a gun.
Note that in Canada, "threatening with a gun" is *not* an everyday occurrence like in some other supposedly-civilized countries.
