I'm #annoyed at #FedEx (in #Canada).
I'm waiting for a #package that would have been nice to have last week. The original expected #delivery date was Monday 14 August.
I checked the #tracking today, said delivery was attempted Saturday 2:15pm, but "no one was available to accept it".
They definitely didn't try to deliver it. I was home. Neighbour's door cam showed no FedEx vehicle.
Tracking said delivery would be re-attempted today.
They didn't show.
It may be unfashionable, but I use #CanadaPost / #PostesCanada whenever possible. Shipping from another country? use their national postal service, and it arrives via CP/PC. Tracking to/from another country is easy - you can track the package via both countries' sites.
Packages almost always arrive when predicted - or they notify where it is being held.
Not always as fast, but for me it is a lot less stressful, and often cheaper. + notification options online.
I wasn't given an option - well, I was, but it was "FedEx" or "FedEx overnight for $200".
I do use Canada Post a lot - but their expected delivery dates, at least here, tend to be #fantasy, or at least some kind of #fiction.
I've had other #courier #companies #lie and show "delivery attempted" when I am absolutely certain that did not occur. In fact, I had a large, recurring problem with Canada Post doing that for a while.
Ouch! painful. $200? really? insane.
I had a package go awol during shipping from Canada - it got out out of customs in LA, then nothing. CP/PC tried three times to avoid refunding the shipping, but did, finally, pay up.
Other than that, the most annoying thing so far at this address was a 3-month period where nothing was able to be delivered - it all had to be picked up somewhere.
