My opinion... PayPal sucks.
High fees, then they charge you extra to get your money right away instead of in 3 - 5 days.
Why does the US Banking system not have e-transfer yet? Is there any good way for someone in the USA to send money to someone in Canada that is free?
@annecavicchi The US banking system is about 50 years behind. It’s simply not possible to transfer money from your account to an account of another person. Found that out myself few weeks ago. It’s pre-historic and that in 2023 in America…
@Jubo It really is bizzare!
@annecavicchi It is. When I found out I was so surprised. Do it with a Dutch account for the last 55 years. We had to solve the problem with a shared bank account in America!
@Jubo @annecavicchi Only banked in US, have no money on/in PayPal. It draws from a bank account. Buy stuff & send $ & don’t receive any, no fees.
Do send & receive interbank electronic transfers 8 or more times a month. Pay people that use my bank with an internal transfer that takes minutes 24/7. Most transactions are on a card at one bank paid by transfers from another. Last credit card interest payment was 30 years ago. I don’t buy anything that I can’t cover. :)
#FedNOW is supposed to address this, I think
@annecavicchi @JonChevreau wait, there is no e-transfer in the USA??
@chris @annecavicchi if so, news to me
@JonChevreau @annecavicchi that boggles my mind! I can't even remember when it started here!
