@spinach @crowbriarhexe @SMNFXCN My presumption was that the original poster might have thought they were stripping the logo from an United States of Lower North America product, since up here, we're really not to big on stuff made there and this will continue until the Seditionist in Chief stops threatening out sovereignty.

What's wrong with them? O boy:
- Preinstalled spyware
- Bad build quality
- Bad customer support and trying to avoid any warranty claim if you aren't a business customer
- Bastardizing the ThinkPad line's legacy with the removal of long-loved features, upgradeability and repairablity
- Abusing the ThinkPad brand to release even worse trash (e.g. IdeaPad)And the worst of them all:
- Supporting the massive human rights violations of the CCP@alan@mindly.social @crowbriarhexe @SMNFXCN
@lily @spinach @crowbriarhexe @SMNFXCN Uh, I was indicating that a lot of people, Canadians in particular, seem to think that Thinkpads are still made by IBM, a US[LN]A company, and that de-branding one is an act of defiance against the current administration's threats against us. If that's the case, then it's misdirected. So if anything, I'm denigrating a nation full of white people, which is as un-racist as denigrating any other nation.
