@The_Violet_Rabbit (Possible unpopular opinion, but will supplement other advice) Snakes. Black rat snakes and related. Do not kill them or chase them away. They will happily consume large populations in short order. Mice cannot hide from them. The snakes will not bother you.

@joewynne I hadn't thought of that! I have noticed some snakes in the yard, I've been leaving them alone as much as I can.
