I like this time of the season when the young birds start to get adult feathers and look a bit patchworky. Young Redwinged Blackbirds are very pretty with their peachy faces and pink beak corners. The last bird is older but also still changing.

A young Redwinged Blackbird looks straight into the camera. It has a characteristic peachy/ egg-yolky color on the face and throat, and the markings of the female on the chest. Some red is peeking through on the shoulders.

Another photo of a young Redwinged Blackbird. Here you can see the color mix pretty good. Pink soft beak corners, golden yellow, brown and red on the feathers. A very pretty bird.
This Redwinged Blackbird is almost completely molted into adult plumage but one can still see some traces of the youngster feathers. The red on the wings looks still a bit dull.
