“Highly controversial plans to revolutionise Whitehall by introducing performance-related pay, an accelerated exit process for under-performing mandarins & more digitalisation will be announced this week”
It is a truth, sadly not universally acknowledged, that, like all extrinsic motivation, performance related pay makes performance worse
It was a key driver of the risky behaviours that caused the 2008 banking crisis. So we can be sure, #uklabour will do it #uk #ukpol
@Simon318ppm Seems like an attempt to make DOGE acceptable.
@Simon318ppm I am so bored with our so called "leaders" using the system to prolong the agonies of the majority.
If I'm honest I'm probably bored with myself, I apologise if you have heard before, in the sense that I see only one peaceful way out of this system of domination and extraction. That is the end of the sovereign state, which would I believe lead to universal (planetary) #Equality #Education #Unity #Justice and acceptance of the family of humanity and it's connection to all things.
@Simon318ppm that said governments everywhere are incredibly inefficient and wasteful, thus the mess wer'e in.
@Herefordrob trouble is, most large organisations are incredibly inefficient & wasteful, whether in the public, private or voluntary sectors. They’re designed to deliver efficiency, not effectiveness, infected by the lie of the last 50 years that private = good, public = bad, and overcome by the power of the bean counters who only understand cost per transaction, not whole-system cost and have no clue about value
In truth, they deliver far worse results at far higher cost
