"#WOLPERTINGER!" exclaimed Gemma peering under the #CatMint.
Bea was busy #Gardening 20 feet away. Absorbed in the work of the #Iris bed, she called out, "Gesundheit!" & carried on pruning the brown tips off the saber-like foliage.
"Oh, for heaven's sake, Bea, it's my little Wolpertinger. I've been looking for him everywhere."
Gemma had thrifted the antlered rabbit w/ wings at a shop on the way back from Dahlonega. Lord only knows how he ended up in the #Mint.

Hi Suzanne! Yes, you are correct. That was a fun thread to go through, and I recognized the Dürer connection when I saw that pic, so I was glad to see it confirmed. An image search is also quite fun because so many folks have made their own wolpertingers, and some are very creative. I might try putting together a Wolpertinger craft with my student gardeners this summer. We'll see. Nice to virtually meet you, btw.
@GardenerPodcast Nice to meet you too! Any friend of the Wolpertinger....
