#January 29, 1933
#OTD Sara Teasdale, American #Poet, died.
Her poem, The #Garden, resonates w/ #Gardeners longing for #Spring:
My heart is a garden tired w/ autumn,
Heaped w/ bending #Asters & #Dahlias heavy & dark,
In the hazy sunshine, the garden remembers April,
The drench of rains & snow drop quick & clear as a spark;
Daffodils blowing...
Golden #Tulips, goblets holding the rain.
The garden will be hushed w/ #Snow, forgotten soon, forgotten -
After the stillness, will spring come again?
