He wrote,

"All the #Books [say] #Soil is the most important part of #Gardening.

But, if a man [already has] his own #Backyard before he opens the #Book, what remedy is there?

All the books stress the need for "deep, friable loam - full of nitrogen."
This I have never seen.

My own land [contains] nothing but #Earth.

I could see no trace of #Nitrogen.

In all humility... I don't know what #Loam is."
