Re my last boost:
OOF! That is a burn! I love the form factor of the iPhone 13 Mini, and absolutely don't see the point of the iPhone 14 Plus when you can get a Pro Max for not much more. They killed off the Mini, so I'm keeping mine as long as it is feasible to do so. Don't like big screens, never have.
I remember what a shock it was going from an iPhone 5, which was much smaller and thinner than my previous iPhone 4, to the much larger but thinner iPhone 6. This was also the first year of the Plus phones. Remember #Bendgate?
I called the iPhone 6 the iPad Nano, and the iPhone 6 Plus the iPad Micro. They just felt so huge. The iPhone Mini is, to me, a modern take on the iPhone 5 form factor. It's really too bad they killed it.
For what it's worth, I still have both my iPhones 5 and 6. The battery in the iPhone 5 is surprisingly still pretty good for a 10.5 year old device. No, not great, but way, way better than the iPhone 6, which still has it's original battery, and now lasts about 5 minutes off the charger.
I even still have my iPhone 4 in storage somewhere, the one and only phone I ever jailbroke, after it was no longer my primary device. When I last turned it on sometime in 2019, it still worked, and still had a weekly alarm for Fridays at 10:47 AM that I set in 2011 to remind myself of a weekly podcast recording session.
