If you, like me, had heard nothing about the #AmazonPrime original "#Undone," let me be the first to recommend it to you. Rotoscoped onto hand-painted backdrops, the visual style may evoke an initial "pass," but it's clear that this is done with care and intention to tell a very specific story. The animation is a setting as much as the painted backdrops, expressing the extrareality of the onset of mental illness/ shamanic ability. Character performances are stunning, especially lead Rosa Salazar
@Animystic Over the course of the two seasons, the show seems to lose its initial mystery in exchange for new ones (exciting, though fantastical), but by the end of season 2 a beautiful and emotional 16-episode arc has been completed, and possibly resolves some of the problems with "agrandizing/glorifying mental illness."
